Climate Change – Manmade, or Natural Cycle?

Speaker:  David Dilley (Meteorologist/Climatologist; CEO, Global Weather Oscillations, Inc. )

Date:  Sunday, February 21 4:45 to 6:00 PM

Where:  Sunset Station, San Antonio

Are we now at a crossroad with runaway temperatures, or is Global Warming changing to Global Cooling?  Are the current high levels of carbon dioxide only a cycle? David Dilley will address these issues in an hour-long lecture. He will provide information you will not hear from the news media, universities or government agencies as the proponents of Man-Made Global Warming do not want the truth to be told.

UPDATE! Statement from the SATP Board President

The February 7 Express-News has a front page article on the San Antonio Tea Party and Tea Party Support.  As president of the San Antonio Tea Party Board of Directors, I emphasize what this article should make clear if read in entirety:

The San Antonio Tea Party is separate from Tea Party Support.  There is no overlap in officers or board membership.  There is no other connection, except that Mr. Matt Perdue, who is the principal of Tea Party Support, was formerly associated with the San Antonio Tea Party.  We regret that Mr. Perdue is experiencing difficulties and wish him well.

The San Antonio Tea Party itself is moving forward with renewed vigor to make a difference in the 2010 elections, to try to stall the ongoing spending deluge that will drown our economy and our future.  If you share our concern about the future, please support us.

Thank you

Kenneth Bennight

President, San Antonio Tea Party

Hello SATP Patriots:

Our Sunday, 1/24/10, meeting at the Magic Time Machine was the beginning of great things to come in 2010.  We Board members got to meet many of you who attended and hear your concerns.  Your concerns include many that we are actively discussing, i.e.  coordination with other conservative groups in Texas, how to educate and advocate issues and candidates without fracturing the SATP or violating our 501c4 tax status, making a difference in 2010 Congressional and other elections, establishing neighborhood groups of SATP patriots, fundraising, growing our email list from 5,000 to 20,000, possible April event, and rejuvenating the Tiger Teams.

The meeting started with a bang with Joanie Muenzler, State Board of Education candidate in District 3 and clarinetist, playing patriotic music as people arrived.  Operatic soprano, Lynn Amos, led us in The Star Spangled Banner at the beginning and God Bless America at the end.  Eric Adam produced a video entitled San Antonio Tea Party, Rendezvous With Destiny, which is on our website and on UTube.  Tom Kennedy’s prayers at the beginning and end of the meeting and the Pledge of Allegiance set an inspiring tone.

Our new Hospitality Committee greeted all the patriots as they entered the door, gave them name tags, and asked them to fill out a survey which will be used to help us better understand what you want the SATP to BE and DO and what part YOU wish to play in the SATP.  If you have not filled it out, it is on our website and was sent to you by blast email.  Please return it as soon as possible.  We need your input.

Jon Kaplan moderated the meeting, which included announcement of our CPA review which should be complete around the middle of February, introduction of us Board members, the Nominating Committee that vetted us, 15 candidates for office, and Joe Ware speaking on the Constitution.  We had an opportunity for Questions and Comments from the audience in which many good ideas were expressed that we Board members heard and will take under advisement as we discuss goals and strategies for 2010.  The meeting was upbeat in mood.  We believe that it set the right tone for the great things the SATP will do in 2010.  After the meeting, the patriots had a chance to meet and greet the candidates and us board members.

We on the Board have many things to accomplish to get up to speed.  Please be patient with us.  We will do everything we can to help the SATP run at full speed very soon.

Your  SATP Board,

Ken Bennight, Linda Nulton, Randy Cunningham, Ray Wilkinson, Frank Eldridge, John Bell, and Sharon Hall
